Spirituality Discover: Fear

Nature has put an amount of inbuilt fear in all living beings. This fear makes life defend itself. Like salt in the food, a little bit of fear is essential for people to be righteous.
Fear of hurting someone makes you more conscious. Fear of failure makes you more keen and dynamic. Fear moves you from carelessness to taking care. Fear moves you from being insensitive to being sensitive.
Fear moves from dullness to alertness. Total lack of fear may lead to destructive tendency – a distorted ego knows no fear. Neither does the expanded consciousness! Whereas the ego dismisses the fear and moves in disruptive manner, the wise one acknowledge the fear and takes refuge in the Divine.
When you are in love, when you are surrendered, there is no fear. Ego, too, knows no fear. But there is a difference, like that of heaven and earth, between these two types of fearless states.
Fear makes you righteous; fear brings you close to surrender, fear keep you on path; keeps you from being destructive. Peace and law are maintained on the planet because of fear. A new-born child knows no fear – it totally relies on its mother.
Whether a child, a kitten or a bird, when they start becoming independent they experience fear which makes them go running back to their mothers. This is inbuilt by nature to sustain life.
So, the purpose of fear is to bring you back to the source!

Spiritual Aspect: Sorrow

The only thing you must remember is how fortunate you are. When you forget this you become sad.

Sorrow indicates:
1) your attachment to negative qualities, and
2) your attachment to positive qualities.

Your negative qualities make you sad. And when you think you are so great, you start blaming other; this also makes you become sad. The purpose of sorrow is to bring you back to the self, which is all joy. But this realization is possible only through Knowledge - awareness. Knowledge, the sorrow does not get completed and instead multiplies. Knowledge complete sorrow.
Only this path you have everything. This beautiful knowledge is complete with all flavors in it: wisdom, laughter, service, silence, singing, dancing, celebration, complaints(!), problem(!), complication(!),and chaos to add spice.

Life is so colorful!

God lives within you

When we pray we look for God some where in the sky. It is a common saying that He is looking at you that ever you do good or bad deeds. He keeps record of all your deeds. We develop an opinion that God must be in somewhere in the cosmos or on some other planet along with other God and Goddess. Our search in the universe might be guided by the wish of man to find the existence of God. But the saints declare on the basis of their knowledge and experience that the God is not somewhere outside our self. He is within our self. Our journey to spirituality will start by knowing this fact that He is with in us. There is need to find him. There is no need to find him in forests, mountain caves or to mosques, churches and temples. Christ explains in the Bible that “The Kingdom of God is within you.” The Persian Saint Bulleh Shah, says:

“The Lord of all, O Bulleh,
From us in not apart.
There is nothing that is not of His essence:
But the Seeing Eye is not there,
And that is why the pangs of separation
Must perforce be borne.”

God is within us but how to find him? How to feel him? We can find and feel him with the grace of the Master (Guru).
