But can you see god as a child?
When you think of god as a father, you will want to demand and take from him. But when you see god as a child, you have no demands.
God is the very core of your existence. You are pregnant with god. You have to take care of your pregnancy and deliver this child into the world. Most people do not deliver. Whosoever delivers can also grant wishes.

God is your child who clings onto you like a baby till you grow old and die. This child clings onto the devotee, crying for nourishment.

Take care of your God! Atheists lurk around the corner! When there is no confusion, then there is no need of a decision.
If on your desk there is a piece of wood and a biscuit, you don’t have to decide which to eat, do you? Decision is always about choice, and choice is always confusing. The more decisions, the more confused you are, swinging always between pain and pleasure. So, all decision-makers are confused!

In you, there is an actor and there is a witness. An actor is either confused or decisive, but the witness just observes and smiles.

Action is spontaneous (no decision) when there is no actor. The more the witness grows in you, the more playful and untouched you are. When your intention is to get a boon, then you are in a hurry.

Another person knows he already owns God; he is not in a hurry for anything. Infinite patience comes up in him. Now what is “owning God”? Realizing that the Divinity and His entire creation already belong to you. Usually you shop in hurry at the supermarket and rush back home. But when the whole store is already in your home, you’re not in a rush to shop; you’re at ease. Your hurry to get something throws you off balance and makes you small. Have an “eternal wait”—infinite patience. Realize that God belongs to you. Through this awareness or through practice you will reach infinite patience.

Now “To develop patience, do we observe the impatience?”

Just observe the thoughts and feelings and don’t regret them. When you know you are part of the divine plan, you stop demanding. You know everything is being done for you. You are taken care of. Usually we hurry the mind and are slow in our action. Impatience means hurry in the mind; lethargy means slowness in action. It is better the other way around:

Patience in the mind and dynamism an action is the right formula.

Spiritual way to get rid of: SORROW

If you are unhappy, you better check if one or all of these is lacking:

Ø Penance
Ø Dispassion
Ø Surrender
Penance is agreeing with the moment, total acceptance of all pleasant or unpleasant situations. Dispassion means I want nothing and I am nothing. Surrender is I am here for you, for your joy. If you are grumbling, then these are lacking. Love that comes out of charm does not last long. Out of unfamiliarity you are attracted, then once you become familiar, you quickly lose the attraction and boredom sets in, like in most marriages. This type of love diminishes and brings fear, uncertainty, insecurity, and sadness.
Love that comes of familiarity grows. You feel more comfortable, for example, with an old familiar friend rather than with a new person. But this love has no thrill, no enthusiasm, no fire to it.
Spiritual Love supersedes both these. Spiritual Love is ever new. The closer you come, the more charm and depth is there. Spiritual Love has comfort, enthusiasm, and familiarity. There is never boredom, and everyone keeps on their toes.

Worldly love can be like an ocean, yet an ocean has a bottom. Spiritual love is like the sky-limitless, infinite. It is the little monster who lives in my head, crouched behind my good sense, waiting for the opportunity to cause trouble. It always wants to be right. It doesn’t matter if it is right or not; it will rationalize, it will justify, it will risk friends, family, and peace of mind-just to win, to be “better”.
Now, knowing this, I have the advantage. When this ego tries to convince me it is okay to manipulate others, or behave like a spoiled child, or be angry at someone for doing the same thing I do, I can look at the situation and say,” Hmmm, here is this little ego playing its games again.” But only if I choose to do so.

The key is that I do have a choice. This ego would like me to think otherwise-that life is a competition to be won or lost. It would like me to react to its endless tricks instead of laughing at its antics. It would like me to perpetuate its games. But when I use the knowledge, I observe and absolve rather than react and retaliate; then I sail through the situation I encounter, unaffected and unafraid.

NON-VIOLENCE

The works of compassion have an obligatory form that is they are such that they aught to be done. In them, some beneficial work is to be performed for living beings, so that compassion is generated in the heart whereas not being violent to mute creatures is a kind of negative work. By stopping performance of acts of cruelty in the social life, it gets decreased. The measuring – rod of both the opposing elements of compassion and cruelty goes on changing according to actions performed in the society. In the present times, the extent of violence being performed has become so much widespread, that in comparison to it, the works of compassion are seen being done on a very small scale. Hence, protection of all harmless creatures from violence and inhumanity is indeed the present moral and spiritual necessity.
When Rev. Prabhushree (Shri Sat-Chit-Atman, incarnation of God after Shri Ramakrishna) became aware of the immeasurable violence being performed in the entire, world, then His heart was greatly stirred with pity. Day and night, immersed in this worry, full of bewilderment He went on doing the literary work along with ‘Tapasya’ (penance). He used to say that “for human beings, the disaster may probably come, but for innocent, mute creatures, a ‘Daily-Disaster’ is in fact going on. This massacre of innocent mute creatures every day on a constant basis is indeed a ‘Daily-Disaster’. And who is there on their side to protect them? And that is why; the compassion of Rev. Prabhushri for these creatures inspired Him to perform more and more ‘Tapasya’ (penance). His body had become greatly emaciated due to fasting and the manifested form of compassion could be seen at the time of Arti at times through the constant flow of tears from His eyes.
He observed that all over the world violence to all harmless creatures is being performed for various purposes as given below
1. For food :
In the world, the violence to creatures is being mainly done for food of human beings. A great part of population of the earth is making the use of animals, birds and fish in their food.
2. For beauty-joy and enjoyment :
Men in order to manufacture cosmetic substances for their use and for getting enjoyment indulge in violence to mute creatures. For example, for the sake of fondness for garments made out of furs, the animals are hunted. Similarly, for getting enjoyment, flying birds are hunted and lion-shows are arranged.
3. For research work in medicine for prevention of diseases :
In the research work of medicines for various diseases, experiments are first performed on mute creatures and in this way innumerable animals are killed in the most inhuman way after subjecting them to a great torture. For example, after infesting and developing cancer in monkeys, experiments are performed on them. In this way, many medicines are manufactured by resorting to violence upon mute creatures.
4. Religious rites : In the name of religion, in the rites of sacrifice performed for gods and goddesses and through the custom of Kurbani innumerable creatures are killed. In fact, the Supreme Soul is compassionate by nature and He never demands any kind of Bhog (food offered to an idol). Hence, it is not proper to perform any such violent acts in the name of religion.

Meaning Of Brahm Mantra

Aum = (a) Symbol of transcendent non-qualified formless form of ‘Brahm’.
(b) Word with oral expression of the qualified and non-qualified ‘Divine’ forms of ‘Brahm’.

Hrim = Capable of granting divine prosperity and capable of enthusing pure spiritual knowledge power of spiritual truth.

Rama = The most holy word ‘Rama’ having become synonymous with ‘Brahm’ being the divine name, the true incarnation of ‘Brahm’ the Supreme Lord Shri Rama being uttered thrice in this mantra whose meanings are in sequence as mentioned below:

(1) True incarnation of ‘Brahm’ –Shri Ramchandra with divine highest of the high personality or with truly-divine ‘Vibhuti’

(2) Attribute of non-qualified ‘Brahm’-‘Satya (truth)’

(3) Innate character of ‘Brahm’ –‘Adhyatma (spiritual)’

What is Brahm Mantra?

What is Brahm Mantra? Brahm Mantra is the universal mantra. The beauty of this mantra is that it includes all the holy mantras. Man would pray for God to come. If God came, he would say, “Don’t come now. Come later. You have come so soon.” If God didn’t come, he would complain, “I have called you so many times and you have come so late.” God grew really tired of this. He wanted to go and hide somewhere, but that was not easily done. He knew man would go to the moon to find him.
At this point God met a wise man. The wise man whispered in God’s ear, “Hide in the heart of man. That is where he never goes.” Since that day, God has hidden in the heart of man. Anyone who goes here will not be able to complain. All complaints will drop away. One person here and there among a million goes to his own heart and finds God. And when a person finds God in his own heart, he has no complaints.

Be Simple – Be Grateful

The mind does not like simple things. This fear makes life defend itself. Like salt in the food, a little bit of fear is essential for people to be righteous.
Fear of hurting someone makes you more conscious. Fear of failure makes you more keen and dynamic. Fear moves you from carelessness to taking care. Fear moves you from being insensitive to being sensitive.
Fear moves from dullness to alertness. Total lack of fear may lead to destructive tendency – a distorted ego knows no fear. Neither does the expanded consciousness! Whereas the ego dismisses the fear and moves in disruptive manner, the wise one acknowledge the fear and takes refuge in the Divine.
When you are in love, when you are surrendered, there is no fear. Ego, too, knows no fear. But there is a difference, like that of heaven and earth, between these two types of fearless states.
Fear makes you righteous; fear brings you close to surrender, fear keep you on path; keeps you from being destructive. Peace and law are maintained on the planet because of fear. A new-born child knows no fear – it totally relies on its mother.
Whether a child, a kitten or a bird, when they start becoming independent they experience fear which makes them go running back to their mothers. This is inbuilt by nature to sustain life.
So, the purpose of fear is to bring you back to the source!

Spiritual Aspect: Sorrow

The only thing you must remember is how fortunate you are. When you forget this you become sad.

Sorrow indicates:
1) your attachment to negative qualities, and
2) your attachment to positive qualities.

Your negative qualities make you sad. And when you think you are so great, you start blaming other; this also makes you become sad. The purpose of sorrow is to bring you back to the self, which is all joy. But this realization is possible only through Knowledge - awareness. Knowledge, the sorrow does not get completed and instead multiplies. Knowledge complete sorrow.
Only this path you have everything. It is a common saying that He is looking at you that ever you do good or bad deeds. He keeps record of all your deeds. We develop an opinion that God must be in somewhere in the cosmos or on some other planet along with other God and Goddess. Our search in the universe might be guided by the wish of man to find the existence of God. But the saints declare on the basis of their knowledge and experience that the God is not somewhere outside our self. He is within our self. Our journey to spirituality will start by knowing this fact that He is with in us. There is need to find him. There is no need to find him in forests, mountain caves or to mosques, churches and temples. Christ explains in the Bible that “The Kingdom of God is within you.” The Persian Saint Bulleh Shah, says:

“The Lord of all, O Bulleh,
From us in not apart.
There is nothing that is not of His essence:
But the Seeing Eye is not there,
And that is why the pangs of separation
Must perforce be borne.”

God is within us but how to find him? How to feel him? We can find and feel him with the grace of the Master (Guru).

Mind and spirituality

What is the obstacle between you and your discovery of spirituality? It is our mind. Therefore, if there is any obstacle between the soul and the God, it is truly our mind. It is well saying “He who conquers the mind is Lord of all man kind” If you subdue your mind, you not only subdue the whole creation, but also it’s Creator. If there is one worst enemy of all in the world, it is our mind for at one time it is our friend, at another our foe. If you consider the matter carefully, you will discover that it is under the influence of the mind that religion fights against religion; nation fights against nation, and brother against brother, and each wish to get the best of the other. We often make plans to harm others. The main architect of all this is our mind. Therefore, as long as we do not control the mind, we can not realize the God and become one with Him. Our soul was originally pure, spotless and holy, but because of its association with the mind, it has become extremely impure and unclean. The water in clouds is pure, but when it falls on the earth as rain, it mixes with soil and gathers many impurities. The condition of our soul it’s like that of rain. Our discovery of spirituality will began when we will save our soul from inputs of mind. The soul of a child is pure, carefree and holy. If you want to discover divinity be like a child, fearless, stress free, lovable, smiling and pure.

Spirituality Define: ENLIGHTENMENT

ELIGHTENMENT IS BEYOND SEASONS LIKE THE EVERGREEN coconut tree. Sometime the question cones up: “What’s the use of all these courses if someone’s behavior has not changed?” Yet the knowledge acquired by human being cannot be measured or judged by external behavior. Someone may behave as though they have absorbed all the knowledge, but internally they have not. The reverse is also true. Sometime who seems not to have changed at all may have absorbed quite a lot. Ordinary people just look at the behavior; the intelligent looks beyond behavior and is amazed by the play of consciousness.

Behavior affects relationships;
Attitude affects behavior;
Knowledge or ignorance affects attitude;
Grace brings forth knowledge.

Inside, you are like a tree- barren in some seasons and at other times blossomed. You become generous, you have a sense of belonging, and you feel connected to everyone and everything.

The Second Law

Stop blaming others, and yourself, and begin praising other and yourself. This doesn’t mean that you should not make a comment when it is needed. You can criticize, but the criticism should not come from your heart – it should be lip criticism only.

The third Law

Point out the mistake but also offer a solution. If you pose a problem, and do not give a solution, then it is only half done. If you cannot find an immediate solution, then work on finding a remedy together.

The Fourth Law

No individual has an independent existence. Every individual has an independent existence. Every individual mind is connected with the cosmic mind. Everything happens within the cosmic time-space design. Times change, and friends can become foes or vice-versa. Keep a deep-rooted faith in the spirit, in your self, and in your life.

The Fifth Law

Take some time off for yourself. Be alone for a little while, a few days in a year, and a few moments a day. This consolidates the energy, the spirit that you are.

The Six Law

Know that everything is temporary, everything changes. Whatever you address as “this” changes. That which says “this”, that does not change. “I am happy”, “I am unhappy”, who is this “I”? There is no “I”, but “I am” consciousness. The limited “I am” consciousness, when it dissolves, becomes “is-ness”. Everything “is” – the mountain are, the tree are, I am. The “I” is nothing but an air bubble, it just disappears. That is Samadhi, that is meditation.

The Seventh Law

Surrender the bliss or joy of your meditation. Letting go, not holding on even to peace. When you hold holding on even to peace. When you hold on to peace, all you get is disturbance. If you don’t care for joy, misery will never touch you, if you don’t care for care for peace, nothing will disturb you. Everything is part of life, so make us of every situation in life as a step towards growth. Accept and receive everything as part of life. This endurance is the Seventh Spiritual Law. When you don’t when you don’t hang on to freedom you gain love.

-Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Spiritual Way to Remove DOUBT

A DOUBT IS A GRAY AREA. GRAY IS SOMETHING WHICH IS NEITHER WHITE NOR BLACK. Now, how to solve a doubt?

Accept a doubt as either black or white.

See your doubt as white and there is no doubt. See the doubt as black and accept it. Either way, you accept it and move on. See some one as either honest or dishonest-and accept him.
Then your mind is quiet. Then you are not in the gray area of doubt. Have conviction: “He is dishonest and yet he is still part of me. I accept him as he is.” That’s it. Finished.
Doubt is an unstable state with footing neither on this shore nor that shore. From there tension arises. One way or the other, take a direction and regain your footing.

Have you noticed that you usually doubt only the things that are positive in your life? Negative things you don’t doubt. You doubt a person’s honesty, and you believe in his dishonesty. When someone is angry with you, you believe in his dishonesty. When someone is angry with you, you have no doubt about his anger. But when someone says he loves you, a doubt creep in: does he really love me? When you are depressed, do you ever think Am l really depressed? No, you take your depression as a fact. Yet when you are happy, you doubt: Am I really happy; is this really what I wanted? You doubt that you are capable, but do you ever doubt that you are incapable?
See this tendency to doubt the positive things in your life. Put doubt in its proper place-and doubt the doubts. Doubt the negative and put your trust more in positive.

The most beautiful spot in the universe

THERE IS A PLACE YOU CAN COME WHERE EVERYTHING IS BEAUTIFUL.

Tourists travel from place to place looking for beauty. You can do it by communicating with your Creative Mind while your Conscious Mind sleeps along with the rest of you!
At this time, your creative mind is highly receptive and the conscious mind cannot interfere. Send your creative mind a message while you sleep, and that message sinks in. It even can eradicate undesiable old message. (You can do this at other times, too, but the best time is when you are asleep). And, by the way, you’ll sleep soundly.
The actual process of communication is very easy. Some people take days to master this pricless secret. I know of several men who did it in one night. It’s a wonderful experience to find that magic genie at your command.

Your Magic Formula

Five rules are given here for you to follow in gaining full and satisfying cooperation from your Creative Mind.
1. Before retiring, relax thoroughly- both mentally and physically.
2. Think of your problem. Think it through- but do not fear it. If you were to give a job to another person, you would have to explain what you wanted done. This is true with your creative mind. You are about to give it a special assignment, so it is necessary that you have clearly in mind just what it is you desire from your creative mind.
Do not fera it, because you will be turing it over intelligence of your conscious mind.
3. Gain a success Attitude. If you developed faith in your creative mind, it will be easy to have a success attitude. You will kon that it is able, ready and willing to serve you.
4. Ater you have gone this far, remove all thoughts of the problem from your conscious mind, knowing that the solution will be forthcoming at right time.

Let’s say, for example, that you have an important appointment at ten o’clock tomorrow morning, at which time you must make a momentous morning, at which time you must make a momentous decision. You are calling upon your creative mind this evening to help you to make the right decision. After you have progressed through the routine given above, merely turn the whole thing over to your creative mind- knowing that before ten o’clock tomorrow you will have the answer.

You’ll be amazed to find what will happen. Next morning you will awaken and find what will happen. Next morning you will be awaken and find thoughts coming into your consciousness as nto what you should do, and with this knowledge will be the reason why you should take such a step- or why you should avoid it. The succession of ideas will be so logical you will not be able to doubt it.
